Why Japanese Chef’s Knives Are So Expensive | So Expensive

 

Yu Kurosaki is one of the youngest talented blacksmiths, very well known in Japan for his production of unique blade design. His passion to craft new design is always welcome and excited. Not only design but its sharpness of blade attracts us whenever his knife it is used.

Yu Kurosaki is working in Takefu Knife Village where he apprenticed with Hiroshi Kato. Kato-san taught him lots of interesting things, and now he’s considered a master himself. He began his blacksmith work in 2002 when he started working in Kanehiro-Uchi-Hamono and since then he is making one of the best knives.
